You are going to need them! The givers of those fabulous shower and wedding gifts will need to be thanked, and we know you want to give your love to all of your family and friends in style. But you don’t want this style to be too pricey! Many personalized and “designer” thank you cards can cost $2 or $3 per card, which as you know, is not how we roll. This is one of your last wedding costs, so focus on the message and get adorable but affordable thank yous. Have that perfect finishing touch to an amazing wedding for cheap with these ideas:

1.       Go with photo thank yous from Snapfish and Shutterfly. This is a fun way to give every guest a picture of you two on your wedding day and a thank you note at the same time. Snapfish and Shutterfly have many options for under $1 each- combine that with a promotion or discount and you’ve got yourself a pretty respectable deal.

2.       Why stop with DIY projects? Make your own personalized thank yous by placing your cheap wedding stickers on blank notecards you’ve purchased with your coupons at craft stores or on sale at Target or Walmart. Or try the stamp trick—buy stamps with your initials, wedding themes or something else meaningful to you and different colors of inkpads and make your own designs by combining stamps and ink colors.

3.       Leave the personal stuff for the inside and go with standard notecards. You’ll have your choice of elegant wedding notes, fun bride and groom cards, or regular cute thank yous.  With so many places carrying them, you’ll have many options for sales and coupons. You can always hit the bridal aisles as the craft stores we love so much (Michael’s, A.C. Moore, Joann’s, and Hobby Lobby with your weekly coupons) or you could look for sales in the greeting card aisle of any store.

4.       Negotiate with your photographer to have thank yous included in your package. Some photographers include photo thank you cards for every guest in their packages. If you want these cards, talk with your photographer to see if she would be willing to include them or swap them with a part of the package that you don’t want or will not use.

5.       Visit Vistaprint. We’re lovin’ how Vistaprint has all of these personalized options for people and not just businesses! You can get some downright beautiful thank you cards from this online printing company. The nice part is, they have personalized options available (think monograms or your own special thank you message), there are so many options that you are bound to find something in your wedding colors or style, and you get to choose your paper options! So basically, we’re talking about personalized folded cards in linen paper for less than $1 each! 6.       Shop party supply stores. These may not be the most natural place to shop for thank yous, but they usually have very affordable and cute standard thank you cards. These won’t be personalized, but many are perfect for a bridal shower or wedding. Check out Oriental Trading or Party City for options as low as $.50 per card!

7.       Buy in bulk? Some stores have sets of 50 thank you cards, which is a far cry from the standard packs of 8 to 12. Since you are going to need that many anyway, it may pay to stock up on these big sets. Check out these thank yous at Target. How cute are they?? And the price is pretty fantastic- only $.20 a card!

Tip: Remember- you won’t need a thank you for each guest in the wedding- only for each couple or family, since most buy gifts together. Keep that in mind when ordering you cards so you don’t end up with double the amount you need!
